Deborah is a USA TODAY best-selling author of The Poppy Field and An Island at War. She was described as ‘One to Watch’ by Good Housekeeping magazine and is the author of a series inspired by Florence Boot, wife of Jesse Boot, the founder of Boots the Chemist. The Booklover’s Library, The Booklover’s Letters and The Bookseller’s Daughter are all out now. Neighbours at War is also inspired by a true story of a young woman running away to Jersey just before the invasion in the summer of 1940. She has also written The Beekeeper’s War, Broken Faces and The Poppy Sisters, an Amazon First Reads Choice and Aldi Special Buy. Her next historical, The Witching Hour will be out in October 2025.
As Georgina Troy, she was a finalist in the Romantic Novel of the Year Awards 2016 (RoNAs) and the RNA Joan Hessayon Award for New Writers 2015 with her book, A Jersey Kiss (now republished as New Beginnings by the Sunflower Cliffs).
She writes psychological suspense as Ella Drummond. The Midnight Swim is out now with a second book due out in the summer 2025.
Deborah was born in Jersey and was one of the co-founders of the multi-award winning platform, MyVLF.com. She is a member of The Society of Authors.
